Understand your body inside and out

Learn how we assess your body composition, muscle strength, and glucose patterns over 14 days using a wearable sensor, giving deeper insights into your health and metabolism.

Continuous glucose monitoring

The sensor will record your glucose levels every 15 minutes. After the end of the wear period, you will return the sensor to the study team via mail.

The CGM sensor will be placed on the back of your upper arm for 14 days. You will not be able to see the glucose readings in real time.

Keeping food diary

During the period of sensor wear you will be required to keep a two-day food diary

Possible skin reactions

Rarely some people may develop bruising, itching or ulceration at the site of sensor placement. This usually heal in a few days after sensor removal.

You will also need to complete a survey on skin reactions at the start and end of sensor wear as well as 1 week after sensor removal (if required).

Body composition analysis

During the study, we will measure your body composition using a machine (similar to a large weighing scale).

A quick and non-invasive test

Simply stand on the device and hold onto hand grips. It sends a very small, safe electrical signal through your body.

Fast and painless

It estimates the amount of body fat, muscle mass, and water levels in your body. The whole process takes less than two minutes and will be painless.


Handgrip strength assessment

We will check your handgrip strength using a small handheld device. This test is quick and simple. It will help us assess your muscle strength, which can be an important indicator of general health.

The assessment

You will be asked to squeeze the device as hard as you can with each hand. The test will be repeated 3 times on each hand.
